2. Faking Govt Body Organisation representatives
In this way of fraud, Hackers call you being a representative from a reputed organization or maybe govt organization offering a govt job direct posting based on some registration fee or some amount like that. Traps you into a fraud transection and you lost your money.
Some Hackers also using govt bodies to trap you into a kind of Easy Bill pay, Providing Certificates without visiting like Driving Licence, Aadhar editing, Home delivery, Cheap life Insurance, Interest less loans, Save Taxes, etc. Sending a link or Paytm phone pay request to make a fast transaction.
Faking many different helpline numbers also identified by the cybercrime branch of India.
3. Lottery or BC Scams
This is a very famous way of trapping the public in a different type of fraud transaction. Targeted User gets a mail, msg, or call reported as “Winning kind of huge amount of money on a random lottery held by a reputed Casino or Lottery website”. Users fall for digits displayed in a lottery and send personal information, Now they ask for “fake processing fees” for transferring lottery amounts to the user’s account. Many Users got trapped since digitalization started reported to cybercrime cells.

4. Fake KYC Links
The user gets a call or link from msg to update his/her KYC within Time/Date limit otherwise sim/mobile/other services will be terminated as per faking a govt new rule is issued which forced us to ask or KYC. First, they ask a user to install some remote desktop app like Teamviewer or Anydesk and guide the user to start a screen sharing session. Now they ask him/her to do a 10Rs recharge on that shared screen to read login and transaction information. Then Hacker clears the target users to account for zero balance.

Beware if you google or search any “customer care/Helpline number of some Bank, Govt Body or some other organization”. Numbers provided by different Blogs or third-party websites may sometimes lead you directly in a Hacker trap where you easily give your PIN or other sensitive information if they ask to provide the same.
In the hurry of getting services by an organization, the user gives his transaction-related information to Hackers and they transact a big amount of money with that information from the user’s account.
